Just what we were looking for outside of Stratford. Very comfortable room with all the amenities you need for an overnight stay. Lovely views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. Good cooked breakfast. Short drive to excellent pub for evening meal.Friendly hosts, we would stay there again.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. We arrived much too early, but were welcomed with open arms. This B and B is in the country, a much appreciated oasis from the hustle and bustle of highways and fellow tourists. The accommodations are immaculate and thoughtfully prepared, we had a great sleep and enjoyed a lovely breakfast in a lovely setting.

We were made very welcome by our host and delighted with the accommodation which was of a very high standard and one of the best B & B's we have stayed in. It is in a beautiful rural location for exploring Shakespeare country. The breakfast was all you could wish for and well presented. Would certainly return if seeking to stay in the area.

Wonderful location. Comfortable bed and excellent facilities. Hosts were lovely with some great suggestions for dinner and local sightseeing.

We have just come back from a 4 day stay at Larkrise Cottage. Alan and Jenny were perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was the best we had ever had, with delicious sausages and bacon. The room was very comfortable, Free car parking and only 3miles to Stratford-upon-Avon. We would highly recommend a visit to Larkrise cottage, and hope to make another visit in the future .Thank you

Quaint little B&B set in the countryside.We was greeted by it's owner Jenny and felt like part of the family straight away.Room and en suite was exceptionally clean with the most comfortable bed and bedding.Breakfast was included in the price with so much choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt and then a full English breakfast to set you up for the day if that's what you wanted, and I might add only the best ingredients were used.A perfect over night stay, left us feeling fresh for our forward journey. Alan and Jenny were most welcoming and helpful with information about the local area & shortest routes to destinations.Our room,bathroom,bed linen and towels were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. It was a nice touch to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room and chilled water & fresh milk were supplied.The breakfast choice was varied and plentiful. It was lovely to have eggs from their own hens and Jenny's homemade sourdough bread was delicious.The property was airy & spacious with the dining room overlooking a pretty garden and the bedroom at the front over the fields and countryside.We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area. We spent 2 nights at Larkrise Cottage in June 2024. The property is beautiful and very well kept, the rooms warm and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and provided valuable insider tips on things to see and do, not to mention they make an amazing full English breakfast from local produce! Highly recommended!!

This was the best B&B we have stayed in. We are Australian visitors and were made so welcome. The rooms are very clean and the King bed was so comfortable. Alan was very friendly and welcoming, he cooked a very tasty breakfast to perfection and at all times was cheerful and good humoured.Larkrise is set in a quiet, rural location just a short, easy drive from Stratford upon Avon. The house is immaculate inside with pleasant views from the windows. Our bed was comfortable affording us a good night's sleep. The bedroom was well lit with ample space for clothes in a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The en suite bathroom was spacious with a roomy shower, large mirror over the handbasin and top quality shampoo, etc. On a cool March night both the bedroom and bathroom were well heated.We certainly intend to stay with Alan again.

The room was lovely, with tea on hand and a friendly face to show us around. We could come and go as we pleased with a nice pub in the village and Stratford only 3 miles away. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning before it was back on our travels.

We stayed at Larkrise for two nights and could not fault the accommodation. Our room was lovely and clean and well fitted out. The bed was VERY comfortable! Our room had a large bathroom with a good size shower recess - very important as a lot of bathrooms have a very small space for the shower these days.The breakfasts were well cooked and there was plenty to choose from. Alan was a fantastic host offering advice on the area and a few suggestions for tours.Well situated to Stratford on Avon and very peaceful. We were unable to take advantage of the walk along the canal into Stratford, but other guests seemed very impressed with it.If in the area again this would be our first choice, great value for money

For these two jet lagged travellers from Australia Larkrise Cottage was the perfect stay. An idyllic English countryside BnB set in a tranquil garden with wonderful views from the bedroom. The hosts were warm and inviting and assisted us a day before our stay with accepting a very late drop off of our luggage which had been lost by the airline. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. Would highly recommend Larkrise if you’re passing through Stratford. You won’t be disappointed.

From the moment we arrived the owner Alan was friendly, helpful and ensured when had what we needed and was happy during our stay. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, very clean, stylish cottage chic, the view from our bedroom window was stunning. Breakfast was beyond what we expected, we chose the cooked breakfast and you could have some cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and orange juice also and breakfast came with a big pot of tea. We stay because we attended a wedding 10 minutes away but we will definitely be back coming back to stay and enjoy some locals hikes and the history the area has to offer.

Beautiful place ideally situated and close to Stratford. Accomodation was clean and very comfortable and our host was friendly, accomodating and royally looked after us. Breakfast was excellent and the dining room delightful as you looked out over the lovely garden with the doors open. All in all, this was a fabulous stay - highly recommended!

Mark and I enjoyed our overnight stay at Lakrisse. We had a wonderful recommendation for dinner by Jenny at the local, an excellent morning walk to the nearby village and the accomodation was amazing. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional . We were warmly welcomed by Allen on arrival, greeted by name, and this was the beginning of a lovely one night stay. Pleasant room with all conveniences and a lovely rural outlook from the bedroom window. The bathroom faces the hosts beautiful spacious garden. Very nice dining area and a good breakfast.The location is not very far from Stratford Upon Avon and quite close to Mary Arden's farm, which is an excellent local tourist attraction. Our only regret was not staying for another day as this would have been a better option for our holiday.

Great value for money stay. Clean, comfortable, brilliant host and breakfast that kept us going all day. Super views and easy access to Stratford upon Avon and the Cotswolds. We were travelling in a classic car and wanted a quiet B&B with secure parking. Lark Rise Cottage was perfect. Beautifully set in open countryside away from busy roads yet convenient for Coventry which was our destination. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed and quality bed linen. An excellent breakfast, which included homemade bread & preserves, was served in a lovely room overlooking the extensive rear garden. We will certainly stay again when in the area.

A warm welcome awaits from Alan at this beautiful country cottage. Very cleanen-suite room with fabulous views from the window of the countryside. Quiet location. Very comfortable bed, slept like a log.Wonderful selection for breakfast, overlooking the very tidy garden, and you can hear the hens that laid the eggs for breakfast. You are greeted by Jenny or Alan ready to cook your breakfast and look after you. At this hidden B&B you feel you are in deep countryside but you are not far from Stratford upon Avon and other attractions.Highly recommended, we will be going back.

What an enjoyable and quiet base location to spend our few days visiting the many local attractions in the area. From arriving at the beautiful location to the excellent breakfast the next day, everything was perfect. The hosts were friendly and helpful, our room was tastefully furnished and very comfortable with ample teas and coffees for our one night stay.The bathroom was larger than average and the shower was amazing; high end shower gel, shampoo etc. all provided.We used Ideal taxis for lifts in and out of town and they were reliable and affordable.A fabulous find. Larkrise was the perfect choice for us being a few minutes drive away from our family who we were visiting. It is situated in a peaceful rural setting overlooking fields with very little passing traffic. We received a warm welcome and the owners were attentive without being intrusive. The bedrooms were fresh and well equipped with beautiful views. The breakfast which was served in a lovely dining room overlooking their garden and chickens, was really nice with great sausages and eggs (from the chickens). The cereals and yoghurts were of good quality too and the bread homemade. It was a lovely relaxing stay all round.

Larkrise provides a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay. It is in a quiet, rural location with lovely views but is not far from major road networks and Stratford upon Avon. The beds are good and everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfast is a treat too. Highly recommended!

We had such a lovely evening stay. The cottage is located just outside of the busy tourist area but still close to town.The rooms were immaculate and were well stocked.The hosts Alan and Jenny were both friendly, helpful and charming.We had to leave early in the morning and they were still able to accommodate us with an early breakfast.We highly recommend staying here - it’s a much better alternative to an impersonal hotel.Overall a great experience.

We had a lovely Two days at Larkrise Cottage. Beautiful setting in a country lane. Very comfortable room and the breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. Lovely hosts and the cottage and its peaceful locale are likewise. Our room was well appointed with a giant comfortable bed. The little fold-away table we found in the wardrobe was particularly useful as we had brought a picnic for our evening meal. Fresh milk was provided to go with a well-stocked hospitality tray. We wanted a bath and a shower so were delighted the ensuite had a shower-over-bath. The Wifi was reliable and fast.

Delightful rural location but just minutes from Stratford Town Centre. large safe parking area on gravel drive to front of property. Comfortable room, spotlessly clean, with wonderful countryside views. Very large en-suite with walk in shower, in immaculate order.Superb breakfast with lots of choices served in a lovely room with bi-folding doors open to garden. The hosts were friendly, knowledgeable and always around if you needed them, but at the same time not obtrusive in any way.We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend. On our recent theatre trip to Stratford upon Avon we decided, this time, to move outside the normal hotel trail and try out a B&B in the beautiful countryside just outside the town.We happened upon Larkrise in one of our web searches.It seemed to fit our requirements.Our experience more than met our expectations.Our accommodation was clean, fresh and very comfortable and our hosts welcoming and very informative about the area.The views from our window was superb; nearby remnants of the old Forest of Arden and in the far distance the northern end of the Cotswolds with Stratford, itself, hidden by the trees.Breakfast was served in a lovely room overlooking the owner's well looked after gardens. Last but certainly not least the breakfast was one of the best we have sampled for some time.

Hi Alan, I wanted to say again how much I enjoyed my one night stay at your exceptional cottage B&B! From the very warm welcome, to the lovely room I stayed in which had everything I needed, to your very kind offer offer of driving me into town when there weren't any taxis available! The absolute highlight was the full English breakfast, which was cooked to perfection using amazing locally sourced products, including your own eggs. The cottage is conveniently located on the outskirts of Stratford in a rural and peaceful setting. We had a very enjoyable stay at this property. Beautiful setting and property including breakfast room and reception were all spotlessly clean and sanitisers all around too. A quick warm welcome from the Host (Jenny) giving us useful details of eatery's etc which were all a drive away, none on "doorstep". Love everything about the cottage. Super clean, everything is there and more in what you need as toiletries to coffee, make up remover and fresh water and milk. What a nice experience! both my husband and I enjoyed our staying in this lovely b&b very much! Wearrived a little bit early but it was no problem we were welcomed with open arms shown our ensuite room and had everything explained where things are and what to do and given the Wi-Fi details the property was absolutely clean, We were given our own key to the front door and a room with no restrictions. Breakfast the next morning could not be faulted in any way numerous choices cooked or uncooked,and everything was top quality no cheap products. Booked an overnight stay as a surprise for my son and his girlfriend, who was celebrating her 21st Birthday! We had a wonderful stay in a super location.Larkrise Cottage was a real find.Lovely views, stretching across the countryside, from our bedroom window. Cosy room with a fabulous ensuite. Everything needed for our stay, plus more. Breakfast was plentiful with a variety of choice.Places we wished to visit were within easy reach of the cottage. The welcome was very warm and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. There was everything you could need in the room which was warm and comfortable.The breakfast was amazing, and the homemade marmalade was really nice.There are only two rooms here so it felt a bit like you were visiting family, a really pleasant experience all round and would stay here again if visiting my daughter over night.

This B & B is close enough to Stratford-upon-Avon to be perfect for a tourist visit, and far enough away to be a quiet spot. Clean and bright and truly a home from home. Breakfast each day cooked just as you like it with fresh, home produced eggs! Excellent.

We wanted somewhere to stay overnight near Stratford-on-Avon and Larkrise Cottage was a brilliant find, situated in the scenic countryside only a few miles away. Alan and Jenny made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean, well-equipped and the bed was very comfortable. An excellent breakfast sent us on our way very satisfied. If we are visiting the area again we will certainly hope to stay at Larkrise Corrahe again. It was perfect!

Alan and Jennie gave us a warm welcome when we arrived at their lovely house in a very quiet and peaceful location. The room was well-appointed and it was a nice touch to give us freah milk and a bottle of chilled water. It was worth staying for the third night - if only to indulge in another great breakfast! One evening, Jennie told me how to find a local walk through the woods, which was most enjoyable, and they gave us directions to various places we had come to visit. We certainly hope to return whenever we get a chance to revisit the area.

It would be hard to find anywhere nicer to stay for a short break in Shakespeare country.We were made to feel very welcome upon arriving and shown to our room which had a wonderful view over local farmland.Nothing was too much trouble - we were given keys as we were going to the BattleProms at Ragley hall and didn't expect to get back until after 11pm. After a sound night's sleep we had a lovely cooked breakfast and chatted with the other guests before heading homeward. We will definitely be staying at Larkrise Cottage again when we return for a longer break to explore some more.Thank you again!

After attending a family funeral in Milton Keynes my wife and myself journeyed to Stratford Upon Avon for a one night stay at this lovely property.After a warm welcome we were shown into our King Size Room which was tastefully furnished in a rural style and was immaculate.We dined at a local pub The King's Head as recommended by Alan and enjoyed a comfortable and peaceful nights sleep in the large bed.Breakfast was excellent with a choice of fruit , yoghurt and cereals followed by a full English.We enjoyed some interesting discussions with Alan and Jenny and discovered we had much in common with our previous backgrounds in education.I highly recommend this excellent B and B for its ambience, quality of facilities , food and friendly atmosphere.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay.Room was spotless and very well equipped. Breakfast was delicious, loved the variety.Such a nice friendly and helpful owner. Make sure you ask him about the history of the Hotel down the road (1.5klm) and take a look including the old church.If you do go make sure you also have a look through the hedge with the beautiful garden. We spent 3 nights here for a short break, our hosts were wonderful. Attentive, helpful, friendly and excellent cooks. The premises are spotless, comfortable, beautiful and in a wonderful location. Peace and quiet in abundance apart from country noises and an occasional car. Easy walks to Stratford away from traffic 95% of the time. There is a good pub with decent food appx 1/2 mile and some excellent ones a little further out. Looking forward to our next visit

A most comfortable bed, quiet location and a delicious, locally-sourced breakfast - the eggs are from the owner's hens.The dining room looks onto the orchard/garden.The circular walk into the village and back via farmland was very pleasant (less than one hour in all), and it's possible to walk to Mary Arden's house and the Tudor farm within half an hour.The owner is most hospitable and helpful, and I would definitely stay here again.

My mother and I loved our experience at Larkrise.Not only was our host very welcoming and hospitable, he was also a local historian for the town Billesley. I recommend walking from Larkrise to the small 11th century church down the road. Larkrise is removed from the hustle and bustle of the busy Stratford-upon-Avon, but only a short taxi drive to the downtown or train station.

I stayed for 3 nights whilst on a course in warwick I much prefer bed and breakfasts to big hotels as its a more homely feel and you are better looked after. Larkrise was perfect my room was lovely a really good size sweet cottage style bathroom with lots of hot water for bubble baths the food was wonderful I was really well looked after. we we very happy with this nice accomodation, butbecause it is rather lonely situated, we would have liked a better description to find it, especially because it was dark, when we tried to get there. We asked several people nearby, who didn't know the address.

This place really is a hidden gem. Fantastic rooms that are very well equipped and hosts that cannot do enough for you. Highly recommended

Good value for money. Lovely breakfast with local products and eggs from the hosts chickens. Very comfortable bed and pillows very clean sky TV in the room en suite very nice very very quiet and peaceful lovely views. Having menus in the room for local pubs was very helpful. Please note if you stay here there are no locks on the outside of the doors and you have to pay cash and we can recommend the blue boar for a meal. Well done to the host you have a lovely b&b

Very comfortable and friendly.

Wonderful cosy B&B. In Alan, you could not wish for a more genial, accommodating host. Very knowledgable about the area's attractions and always has time for a chat. The breakfast is fabulous too. Room absolutely fine - Sky TV (incl. Movies/Sports) and DVD player so easy to relax and be entertained after a hard day's sighseeing. Satnav may well mislead you to miss Larkrise so a little homework on location may help. All in all we cannot fault it and thoroughly recommend it if you're doing the Shakespeare thing.

We only made a last minute booking for one night but Alan was nontheless helpful in meeting our needs and suggesting places to eat in the eveneing. The room and all facilities were first rate and far more homely than your budget hotel. The breakfast was excellent in all respects. We will certainly look to stay again if we are in the area, possibly for longer next time. Thank you Alan.

I had a very pleasant and restful night's stay at Larkrise Cottage on Friday 14 July. My room with bathroom at the front of the house was clean and comfortable. My vegetarian breakfast on Saturday was excellent and the owner of the cottagewas at all times friendly and helpful.

Room and en suite were charming and spacious.The site was away from the bustle of Stratford but close enough to make it convenient.Breakfast was wonderful and the grounds lovely.

What a super view we had from our room.The cottage was lovely and quiet. Alan greeted us and was very friendly and informative.Breakfast was ample with a variety of cereals, Yoghurts,and fruit followed by traditional using their own hens eggs.It was about 3 miles from the centre of Stratford in a rural setting.We walked into the centre one day along the canal very enjoyable.

Have to say what a great stay we had even though the weather was not on our side. Comfy room and a very friendly host. Full of local knowledge and assistance. Very tasty breakfast. Beautiful cottage out of the town centre which was quiet and peaceful but close enough to get to the town.

We were welcomed by Alan who immediately made us feel extremely at home, recommending a choice of two nearby pubs (within 2 miles) for dinner and fine beers. Bedrooms were faultless, with beautiful views, comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms and tea-making facilities.

We had an amazing night away with no kids.It was lovely, clean, and quiet.The scenery was beautiful and an idyllic location.The service was very friendly and breakfast was delicious!

Lovely, picturesque place and the Baileys were fabulous hosts. I can't recommend this place enough for a quiet night away!!

We spent two perfect nights here.Lovely views from the bedroom window over the rolling fields towards the Cotswolds. We are walkers and enjoyed the stroll into town along the canal accessed from Wilmcote. Our host Alan was very friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the history of the area. As it is not in town we found it lovely and peaceful. The bed was huge and the breakfast was superb. Highly recommended!

Very nice stay, warm welcome, breakfast is good, very conveniant for visiting Stratford upon Avon and surrounding area, park and ride is nearby. Mary Ardens working tudor farm is really close and well worth a visit.

We booked into this lovely B&B as we were attending a wedding nearby, Alan was very hospitable by allowing us to check in early prior to the wedding making it all very easy! We didn't arrive back to the B&B until late so just a quick sleep and then to breakfast, We were greeted by Alan in the morning with the smell of a delicious meal to come! We were shown to the wonderful dining room where the doors were wide open giving us the stunning view of the back garden with chickens at the back too! Breakfast was delicious and the eggs were from said chickens making it all the more authentic. Alan was a lovely host for our very short but very sweet stay!

We had a great overnight stay at Larkrise Cottage. From our arrival to our departure Alan was the perfect host and was extremely helpful with local information and directions. Alan is a wonderful host at Larkrise Cottage who is very welcoming and accommodating. He is always ready to help and provide whatever we need in the room. The rooms (and bathrooms) are spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made with eggs from chickens in the backyard. The cottage is set on a secluded small hill with beautiful view across the field and towards Stratford, allowing guests to take in the beautiful countryside. Alan made our stay very comfortable and would recommend his cottage and anyone travelling to the area.

Stayed here for a bank holiday break away and found it totally idyllic. A beautiful home in alovely location with super friendly host. Alan is a perfect gentleman, very friendly and attentive to your needs. A lovely fresh cooked breakfast each morning. Would highly recommend it and will most definitely be going back again.

Location, room & outlook are all lovely. You feel as if you are, quite literally, in the middle of nowhere, but in fact, you are actually only a 5 minute drive from the centre of Stratford.Alan is a charming host, helpful & friendly, but unintrusive. Breakfast is beautifully cooked, & portioned in just the right amount.All in all a great stay, & we would recommend you give it a go!

We only stayed one night and were warmly welcomed. The cottage is attractive and very clean. Well furnished and traditionally decorated. Lovely views of the coutry side and garden from all rooms. A feeling of airiness in the rooms and especially the dining room which looks out into the garden. We saw rabbits hopping through the garden during breakfast as well as the family chickens. Breakfast was very nice. I would recommend this b&b to anyone wanting to explore Stratford and Warwick.

A very pleasant place to stay for a visit to Stratford in tranquil, rural surroundings and yet only a quarter of an hour from Stratford centre, theatres etc by car. Proximity to the Park-and-Ride at Stratford Parkway was also a bonus and saved us the difficulty and cost of parking in the town itself. Accommodation was comfortable with beautiful views from our room. Mr.Bayley made us feel very welcome, was helpful with practical recommendations and tourist information and cooked a very good breakfast.

This was a lovely place, just stopped the one night to visit Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s located in a very rural setting but quite easy to find and within easy access of Stratford.Alan the proprietor was an excellent host with a vast knowledge of the area and great to chat with.It was an extremely good breakfast too looking out into the garden on a lovely day.

We had a wonderfull stay in Lakrise Cottage in the real and quiet countryside. The bedroom was really nice and their was a lot off space in the bathroom. The beds were fantastic and everything was very clean. Everday Alan served us a very good breakfast in the lovely diningroom. He was really helpfull to explain about things we wanted to do. We really anjoyed this stay and we liked to come back.

I booked Larkrise Cottage online due to its convenient location for access to Stratford-upon-Avon and I'd definitely go back again. It was a beautiful property in a beautiful location. The view from our bedroom window was nothing short of spectacular. The whole place was immaculately presented and we couldn't have asked for a more welcoming and helpful host. We were given leaflets and information on where to park for free in Stratford and the following morning were offered local landmarks we may want to visit before leaving. I must also mention the breakfast which was second to none with scrambled eggs straight from the resident chickens and a continental breakfast with more than I could possibly have eaten. It was a wonderful stay. I only wish we had been there longer. Well worth the money. I hope to return in the future.

Alan was very friendly and helpful despite teething problems (on both our parts) with the initial booking and deposit. Very comfy room and bed. Good home cooked food.

Alan was most welcoming and the room was just what we needed for the night, we enjoyed a lovely evening meal at the Mason's Arms and had a fab breakfast at Larkrise. A B & B to be recommended to our friends.

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay. The location was ideal for us being so close to Stratford and yet deep in the country. We had great fun exploring the Warwickshire countryside, and Alan could not have been more helpful with advice and the loan of maps, plus an excellent breakfast to set us up for the day. I cannot recommend Larkrise too highly and am already planning a return trip next year.

Came here on 17th June for a 4 night stay and was instantly made very welcome by the owner on our arrival .where upon we were then shown too our room which had a very nice view of the country side .We had a very good selection for our breakfast in the morning and we were able too choose from the breakfast menu what we would like .the owner was very helpful with local advice on where we might be going out for the day so as to advise us how we could get the best from our day out .which myself and my wife both found exteremly helpful .All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would be very happy to come this way again and stay at this b&b again.

To start with the location of this B&B is beautiful and easy to find. We were greeted warmly by Alan who was friendly and helpful with his knowledge of the local area. As for the full english breakfast...can't be faulted. When we next visit Stratford, we will be sure to make a booking with Larkrise again and will be putting in our orders for that breakfast.

Although ours was only an overnight stay on the way home, we could not have asked for more, either from the accommodation or our hosts. Truly a delightful oasis surrounded by beautiful countryside - outstanding value as well.
